Chery Automobile has achieved both ISO9001 and German TUV Rheinland ISO/TS16949 quality certifications.
Chery vehicles undergo rigorous safety and crash tests. They conform to several European Crash Standards including "Offset Frontal Collision" (ECE R94), "Rear Impact" (ECE R34), "Side Impact" (ECE R95) and roll over.
The J1 Safety and Security features include:
- Sophisticated alarm and immobiliser system
- Cage type, all metal passenger safety cage.
- Side impact bars on all doors
- Memory polycarbonate bumpers, that take minor impacts up to 15km/hr and regain normal form
- Shock absorbing engine crumple zones to enhance passenger safety.
